Clearer: lifetime or monthly, with a short confirmation after you buy. You can see your status under Settings › Full Version.
You can now redeem a code for the full version under Settings › Redeem Code.
The getting-started tips now appear one after another, without reopening the app. “Enter Grades” appears once the subject is set up.
Version 1.61 update

Version 1.516 updates
Clear cards on every page. New color themes with a preview under Appearance › Theme (new: Honey), each designed for light and dark mode.
Tiles for to-dos, upcoming dates, the week and remarks. The card for the current lesson shows what's next.
Class and subject pages show students, subjects, the class average and how many grades are still missing.
Average, final grade, trend and grade history for each subject. Remarks and contacts have their own pages, and you can call or message right from there.
Oral, Written, Practical and Other, plus your own. When you open a new subject, a short assistant helps you set categories and percentages.
An assessment can consist of several partial grades, e.g. the tasks of a test, each with its own share. On a student's page you can also add a grade just for that student.
Choose per subject: whole grades, with a trend, or just the average. In new subjects, + and − each count 0.25.
Several subjects of a class on one sheet, with the final grade for each subject.
Notes about students are now called remarks. On Today you can quickly write one for a student.
Class lists lock again after a few minutes without use (adjustable). No student data is visible in the app switcher.
The “Last Backup” card shows when you last backed up. You can delete safety copies yourself.
A new welcome with a short tour, “Getting Started” with progress, and short tips right where you need them.
A new Coming Up page, smoother scrolling in the year plan, and tapping a lesson always opens its plan. Typing is saved after a short pause.
A new sidebar like in Apple's apps, and keyboard shortcuts, e.g. ⌘1–⌘6 for the sections and ⌘N for new items.
Redeem an offer code for the full version on the purchase page or under Settings › Full Version.
Fixed a crash when saving the grade calculation, plus many small improvements for VoiceOver and large text.
Version 1.431 updates
From Excel, CSV, or a copied list of names: Kreidezeit detects the columns, shows a preview, and asks if anything is unclear. Several classes at once; duplicates are detected. Also works via “Open with Kreidezeit”. The file is only read, not kept.
In addition to grades 1 to 6, there are now points 0 to 15 for upper secondary, set per subject under “Grade Calculation”. When switching, Kreidezeit converts existing grades using the standard table, after making a safety copy.
Kreidezeit is now also available in English. Choose your country under Settings › School. Outside Germany you set the school year, terms and holidays yourself or import holidays from a calendar file. New grading systems: 1 to 5 (Austria), 6 to 1 (Switzerland), A to F and percent.
A subject's grade list, a class checklist and a parent meeting overview, in black and white on A4. Calculated just like in the app. Available from the menu in the class and subject, and in the student profile.
On iPad, the week's rows adjust to the screen height. With many lessons on small screens, it scrolls and shows “More Lessons” at the bottom.
Each timetable has its own start and end times (Timetable › … › Edit Period Times). “Today” then shows the current or next lesson.
A bar at the bottom with Today, Planner, Lists, To-Dos and More; on iPad, a sidebar with all areas. Each area remembers where you left off. Choose which three areas appear in the bar under Appearance › Customize Bar.
Day, week, month, and year on one page, like in Calendar (week, month, and year on iPad). The date stays when you switch; tap “Planner” to jump to today. The top always shows where you are.
Class lists now have search, plus, and menu at the top. Search works like in Calendar; a result takes you straight to the student. “Today” has a calmer design. On iPad, open Settings with the gear on “Today” or at the bottom of the sidebar.
The backup file can now also include the planner: timetable, lessons, notes, to-dos, meetings, and attachments if you like. When restoring, you choose class lists, planner, or both; the planner is only added to. If your last backup is more than 30 days old, a quiet line on “Today” reminds you.
Before Kreidezeit changes or deletes a lot of data at once, the app automatically makes a copy of the class lists, on this device only, for 30 days (Settings › Class Lists › Safety Copies). You can undo the school year change for 30 days in Settings › School.
If you’ve already chosen a theme, you keep it. Petrol is still available under Appearance › Theme.
Planner and one class for free: timetable, to-dos and lesson plans up to and including next week. The Full Version adds unlimited planning ahead, events, attachments, more classes, import and Print/PDF. Existing data stays editable; backup and transfer stay free.
“New Class” asks for the class, subjects and students in three short steps; subjects are suggested from your timetable. Each student is then in every subject of the class. A new subject gets all students of the class, and a new student is added to all subjects. The plus button offers New Class, Add Subject, Add Student and Mixed Group.
Empty pages tell you in one sentence what you can do, and short tips appear once in the right place. Show them again under Settings › Getting Started.
A new welcome on first launch. On “Today”, a card guides you through timetable, first lesson, class, first grade and backup; then “Discover More” shows what else the app can do. Find both anytime under Settings › Getting Started.
When a line starts with “- ” or “1. ”, Return continues the list, like in Notes. A second Return ends it.
When adding students, Return also inserts a new line with a hardware keyboard. In short fields such as to-dos, Return finishes the entry.
Each student has a profile like a contact card: grades from all subjects, notes like in the Notes app, parent contacts with Call and Message, birthday, and custom fields. Like the class lists, profiles are stored only on this device and are included in the backup.
Notes and remarks on a student’s subject page are separate dated entries: pin, edit and delete with “Undo”.
Enter the birthday right in the profile. In the year calendar and under “Coming Up”, it appears without a name; you see whose birthday it is only after unlocking. In the class lists, a tip reminds you on the day itself.
One row per class with subjects and number of students. Inside a class you see its subjects with averages and all students; tap a subject to open its grades, or a student to open their profile. Mixed groups have their own section. On iPad, the classes stay visible on the left.
In “My Classes”, swipe or touch and hold. The confirmation says what will be deleted and offers archiving instead. Kreidezeit makes a safety copy first, and afterwards you can undo.
A test or quiz belongs to the subject, the grade to the student. Under “Add Grade”, open assessments are at the top: one tap on the assessment, one tap on the grade.
One button in the subject: name, category, and date, then tap a grade for each student. Missing grades are marked; “did not take part” doesn't count. From a lesson in the Planner, “Enter Grades” takes you straight there.
All assessments by term and category, with class average, count and grade distribution. Changes to an assessment apply to all students.
In addition to whole grades and plus/minus, also 1-2 to 5-6; they count as x.5. You choose which forms are offered in the grade calculation settings.
Overall grade and averages at the top, grades by category, then the calculation, notes, and other subjects below.
Student names, grades, and notes now stay on this device only, protected with Face ID, and never sync via iCloud. The planner still syncs via iCloud.
An assistant creates an encrypted copy of your class lists with a one-time code from the app. Send it via AirDrop, open it with Kreidezeit on the other device, and enter the code. It’s a copy, not a sync: it’s best to keep your class lists on one main device.
Lesson, week, and meeting notes sync via iCloud. A tip below reminds you not to enter student names there.
Version 1.317 updates
A new list for a class takes over the checked students. Names apply everywhere, grades stay separate per subject, and the student page shows the other subjects.
Religion, support class or club: students from several classes in one list, with their own color and the class next to each name.
The timetable, class colors, and class lists belong to a school year. Past school years are kept in full.
At the start of summer break, an assistant helps you move classes up a year, carry over your timetable, and carry over or archive class lists.
Archive and restore class lists, and move or copy students between lists.
Grades split by term, with a separate final grade per term and an “Overall” tab. You set how “Overall” is calculated in Grade Calculation.
Move between Year, Month, Week and Lesson with Back or by swiping from the edge; the arrows page through.
School, Appearance, Class Lists, Data & iCloud, and About Kreidezeit, each with its own page.
Attach worksheets, photos, and scans to a lesson. Open, share, and rename them right in the lesson plan; a paperclip shows them in the week.
On iPhone, “Week” shows all five days as a compact grid. Tap a lesson to open its plan right away.
A large overall grade, collapsible categories, and search across all class lists.
Choose the class, add the subject if needed, and quickly enter your students one after another. Each list shows its class’s color.
Custom categories with shares, weight per grade, plus/minus values, rounding, and manual final grades. “How It’s Calculated” shows every step.
Student data is locked with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode and kept in its own storage, separate from the planner.
Back up all class lists to an encrypted file and restore them on a new device. Without iCloud, Kreidezeit reminds you to make a new backup after two weeks.
Type new tasks right into the list, press Return for the next one. Completed ones quietly move to the bottom.
Two months per screen; swipe to page.
Version 1.29 updates
The subject is shown large in the cell, with the class small below it. Existing entries like “3a English” were split automatically.
Tap a slot and choose a subject and class from previous entries, or enter new ones.
“This Week” takes you straight to your notes, and all tiles are the same size.
Week and Timetable show one day per screen. Swipe to the next day or tap a weekday at the top.
Subject, class, and topic in one form, suggestions with a single tap, then straight on to the lesson plan.
New themes: “Calendar”, “Graphite” and “Fjord”.
Items under “Coming Up” can be swiped away and restored.
Write to us right from Settings. You’ll find privacy, legal notice, and support under “Legal & Support”.
Week, Timetable, Month and Lesson look cleaner and closer to Apple’s own apps.
Version 1.15 updates
Calmer and more familiar: lists, bars and controls like in Apple's own apps.
Five templates from “Clear” to “Timetable”, with its own color for each weekday.
Choose your own base color, weekend, holiday and public holiday colors. Text always stays easy to read.
Give classes a color, for example 3a yellow. Their lessons are colored in Week and Timetable.
Set how many periods the week view and timetable show.
