TroubleshootingWelcome
On first launch, Kreidezeit greets you with “Welcome to Kreidezeit” and asks for your country and state. After that, “Today” opens, the home screen for every school day.
The “Getting Started” card
On “Today”, a card always shows the next step with “Go”. “All” expands the whole list, “Less” collapses it again:
- Choose State
- Enter Timetable
- Create Class for Grades
- Plan First Lesson
- Add Students
- Enter First Grade
- Set Up Backup
Completed steps are checked off. When everything is done, it says “All Set”, and “Hide” removes the card.
Set up your school
Settings › School holds country, state, the school year with its terms, holidays and the number of periods per day. The country determines the suggested school year, terms and grading system. In Germany, Kreidezeit adds the school holidays and public holidays of the chosen state by itself.
Enter your timetable
You enter your timetable once. After that, every week is prefilled, and only topics and planning are left to add. More under Timetable.
Show the welcome and tips again
Settings › Getting Started has “View Welcome Again” and “Show Tips Again” for the short tips. “Discover More” is there too, with features that are easy to miss.
What’s new
After an update, Kreidezeit briefly shows what’s new. Later you find it under Settings › What’s New in Kreidezeit. All versions are also listed under What’s New.
