TroubleshootingWhen safety copies are made
Before Kreidezeit changes or deletes a lot of data at once, the app makes a copy of your class lists by itself, for example:
- before the school year change
- before restoring a backup or a transfer
- before importing students
- before deleting a class, a subject, an assessment or a student with grades
- before changing the grading system
Restore
Safety copies are kept for 30 days under Settings › Class Lists › Safety Copies. Restoring returns your class lists to the state of the copy. Kreidezeit first makes a safety copy of the current state. You can also delete safety copies there yourself.
Not a replacement for backup
Safety copies are only on the device, not in iCloud. If the device is lost, they’re gone too. For that case, there is Backup.
