TroubleshootingThe assistant
At the start of the summer holidays, an assistant helps with the change. You can also start and repeat it anytime under Settings › School › Set Up New School Year.
Move classes up
4a becomes 5a, and the color stays. Classes without a recognizable grade level, such as “Club”, stay unchanged. If Settings › School › Highest Grade Level is set to 4, for example, the assistant suggests “Don’t Continue” for grade 4 classes.
Timetable
The previous timetable can be copied as a template with the new class names. Or the new year starts empty, or a plan that already exists stays.
Class lists
For each list: carry over or archive. Carrying over creates a new list with the same students, calculation rules and terms, without grades. The old list stays. You can also do this one at a time in the class or subject under … › To New School Year…, optionally with “Bring Notes”.
Before the first school day
You can view and edit the new school year beforehand. From the first school day, the app shows it as the current school year.
Undo
Nothing is deleted in the change. Kreidezeit makes a safety copy first, and for 30 days the change can be undone under Settings › School.
