TroubleshootingWhat you can import
Excel files (.xlsx), CSV and text files, or a list of names copied to the clipboard. Start the import with Classes › + › Import List, inside a class with … › Import…, or straight from a file with “Open in Kreidezeit”.
Check the columns
Kreidezeit detects the columns and shows a preview. Above each column it says what was detected. Tap it to change it. Anything unclear is set to “Ignore” and isn’t imported.
Several classes and duplicates
A spreadsheet may contain several classes. If a class already exists, the students are added to it. Students already in it are recognized: only missing details such as birthday or contacts are added, nothing is overwritten.
Use a template
If you’re starting a new list, the app can create an empty spreadsheet with the right headings, to fill in or pass on.
Privacy during import
The file is only read and not kept. Before importing, Kreidezeit makes a safety copy of your class lists.
