Holidays and Public Holidays

Automatic for Germany, by hand or as a calendar file.

Automatic in Germany

If a state is chosen under Settings › School, Kreidezeit loads its school holidays and public holidays and adds them to the planner. The data comes from OpenHolidays. Only the state is sent to the service.

Other countries

Outside Germany, add holidays by hand under Settings › School › Holidays or import your school’s calendar file (.ics). Imported entries can be removed there again.

Single days off

You can also add a single day off, for example a staff training day.

The holidays are wrong

First check under Settings › School that the right state is chosen. This choice applies only to that device. Holidays and days off then sync through iCloud with your other devices.
